Hail insurance is an available option on individual fields or an entire crop in a county. Varying coverage levels available. See additional details below. 

Hail Policy Endorsements Include

  • Early Plant-extended replanting coverage that allows producer to plant up to two weeks prior to the earliest plant date. (crop specific)
  • Wind-covers loss from non-recoverable ears of corn as a result of excess winds
  • Extra Harvest Expense (EHE)-provides additional harvest loss coverage for damaged (down) corn fields caused by wind.
  • Replant Option-provides additional replant coverage when a crop is replanted due to covered peril.
  • Seed Corn-protects against failure to pollinate as a result of hail damage.
  • Stored Grain Coverage-extends coverage to specific crops stored after harvest until June 1 for fire only. Also provides transit coverage to first place of sale.
